PAINTED KITCHEN H Brighton, East Sussex
This project was part of a broader development of a period townhouse. The client wanted to create a spacious kitchen in a very long room that had French doors leading out on to the garden terrace at one end.
The design needed to separate a small breakfast area from the main kitchen. The client also wanted to conceal an entrance to the cellar and this was achieved by creating a false cupboard door beside a wall of integrated appliances and a large larder.
The feeling of space was enhanced by finishing the units with light pastel shades that mirrored the greens of the garden, as well as glass splashbacks on the walls. The design also included an Oak custom-made breakfast table with matching benches, completing a fresh and spacious look.
